Welcome to Our Rainbows Photo Gallery!

In our June and July meetings the first 16 pictures below show first of all:Swedish Night and we were very lucky to have Dr Natasha Vall with us. She taught us to sing 'Happy Birthday' in Swedish to one of our Rainbows, we listened to stories of 'Pippi Longstocking', completed a Swedish quiz and word hunt outside, and sampled Swedish cakes and sweets! Secondly we have pictures where we celebrated American Independence, and the girls made dream catchers, and played lots of games outside with our new rainbow parachute. Finally at the end of June we have been celebrating a massive event in the Girlguiding calendar - Rainbows 21st Birthday! We held an extra special birthday party, complete with chocolate fountain and birthday cakes, which was enjoyed by all, as you can see from the photos! A triple celebration as this also coincided with the birthdays of two of our Rainbows.

On 10th June we were very proud to welcome Allison Graydon, Girlguiding County Commissioner who had come to visit our Rainows to personally congratulate our girls and tell them how proud she was of the way they had conducted themselves in the midst of the train accident last week. (Although none of the Rainbows were directly involved there were lots of emergency services around the Church Hall, and we had to close Rainbows early and walk down to the school to prevent parents picking up, being caught in the emergency traffic.)

We were also pleased to welcome dads along to our Fathers Day Crafts Night! All the girls made some very colourful windmills and kites, made out of carrier bags, which the girls had great fun flying On Tuesday 13th May Vicar Judith came and talked to the Rainbows - then they went on to the grounds to do some rubbings.

Previously we visited Haydon Bridge Fire Station and had a fantastic time learning about fire safety and the role of the Fire Brigade. All the Rainbows joined in enthusiastically and even the Leaders had to have ago!!!!!!!

Our previous pictures are from the Games Night with Chocolate Fountain (yummeeee). Before that we have two pictures from the 'Get Healthy - Sports & Games Night' with Vicky Firth. We also have pictures from Christmas Party - and Caterpillar (Lyn's) Birthday Celebrations plus Rainbows making Tree Decorations and the Tree Dressing Ceremony in December. Plus, pictures from St. Andrews night - tartan making, haggis tasting, scottish dancing... plus Miss Jessica Thompson (Caterpillar's grandaughter) our youngest trainee Rainbow! Previously we had 'Teddy Hospital' with Dr Jo Shaw, and assisting the Rainbows Dr. David Shovlin. We also have 6 pictures from our Promise Party, 2 photos from 'bangers' night and have photos from Freak Week!(Halloween). These are also some previous photos from our Africa Challenge and also our First Meetings (Click the arrows and on a small photo to see a larger version).
