Welcome to our Local Heritage Project
With the help of Northmberland National Park and English Heritage a number of us met in March/April 2008 with a view to establishing a local heritage group. This would build upon the earlier work in the spring of 2000 resulting in a series of WEA (Workers' Education Association) meetings and the local Village History CD which can be found at the Bardon Mill and Henshaw History web pages.
The first year's programme was set up and the first meeting held on May 15th 2008. During the first year local residents will be able to determine the objectives of the group in more detail, identify likely projects and undertake these, and setup the next year's programme.
On this web site you can access the programme of events, and soon, we will report back on the projects we undertake as well as the meetings we hold. We hope you will join us and come along to our programmed events as well as contribute to our projects. Thank you for visiting.
